It's never too early to give the Gift of Music! It's a gift that will last a lifetime.Current research supports that all children benefit from musical nurturing from birth on. Engaging in musical play in the early years with your child will establish a strong foundation for musical growth and will support other learning skills as well. Come to class with your little ones and learn how to be musically playful together. They will love it and you will too!
In this workshop children will learn simple songs and rhythm patterns with instruments and their voice. Movement activities create a fun way to learn and explore music. Caregivers and children (18 mos. to 5 years) will come together and experience  popular fingerplays, instruments, familiar songs and more in this fun moving class.  Children must be accompanied by their caregiver.

Take a Bow Kids! - Creative Dramatics. Ages 6-10

What is Creative Dramatics? Creative Drama activities and scene work require spoken language, improvisation, visual skills, geometric thinking, the ability to work with others, a sense of musicality and rhythm, and knowledge of and use of one's body to project thoughts and feelings. Research shows that kids who are exposed to music and drama learn though “multiple intelligences.”  Many of the learning styles and higher order thinking skills are utilized in a creative drama lesson…and it’s FUN! In this workshop children will learn about using their bodies, voices and imagination to create a character and tell a familiar children’s story. The first classes children will participate in improvisation games to try out some activities and stretch their imagination. At the end of the workshop (our last class) there will be a performance for families to tell a story and show different activities we have learned.
