What you’ll learn
Foundations of seeing: line, proportion, perspective, and edges — simple rules that transform how you observe.
Value and tone: how to build believable form using light, midtones, and shadow.
Materials and mark-making: pencils, erasers, paper, blending tools, and how each choice changes your drawing.
Structure and construction: breaking complex subjects into shapes, measuring, and establishing accurate proportions.
Texture and detail: rendering skin, hair, fabric, and subtle features with economy and control.
Portrait fundamentals: mapping facial features, capturing likeness and expression, and finishing techniques to bring a portrait to life.
Course structure - 60 minute classes every two weeks to give you time to practice at home and come with questions to the next session.
