I had a sepia tinted photo of my mother that was taken of her when she was about 16. All of her early photos show her with a very serious expression because she was self-conscious about her teeth. Obviously, I knew her in living color with a smile on her face, and I wanted to remember her this way, so I changed the photo just a bit.
