When I saw the title for this show, I looked at my studio wall where the original version of this piece hangs and thought, “Green! That’s the place I’ve seen the most green in my life.”

While I usually prefer to display original works at a show, this painting is just too sentimental for me. Fortunately, fine art prints capture the nuances of watercolor remarkably well.

Regarding the process, this piece took over a month to complete. I used masking fluid to preserve the highlights and slowly developed the details. Throughout the painting process, I thought back to my time walking through the “Hall of Mosses”—an experience that was enchanting, eerie, and overall filled me with wonder. This fine art print is displayed in recycled barn wood.
