Around Halloween-time as a child I had a dream that a boy was cursed. As punishment he would become a tree. Flies, bats, birds all flew from his mouth, as his limbs turned to branches. The boy’s skin became bark, and he lives on in a different form. But I will never forget his face. The face of death.
