I was inspired by a beautiful Victorian oil painting that captured the sun breaking through the trees in a frozen woodland. I had fun trying to emulate the coldness of a Minnesotan winter day. Where is my lone skier going to? Is she visiting Grandma in the little cabin or is she passing by, trying to get home before the last sliver of sunlight disappears.
