Sewing is humbling. The first perils involve threading the needle without pricking yourself, choosing the correct thread length (not too short or too long), avoiding tangles, and keeping the stitches small, straight, and uniform. It may be sloppy, but it is still creative. For each project, I photographed an art piece and printed the image onto the cloth using special iron-on adhesive.

One image originated from my oil pastel drawing and shows a rabbit; the second image is from a ceramics class. This project was fun, using fabric paint, and an out-of-this-world color scheme that makes no sense. The idea was for the rabbit to appear from a 2-D drawing and become a 3-D creation, splitting into two images. Perhaps the saying going down the rabbit hole applies.
