I rarely buy mangoes to eat, but these two caught my eye — their warm golden tones and soft blushes of oranges and yellows looked irresistibly sweet and inviting. They seemed to capture the very essence of autumn, making them the perfect subject for a watercolor painting inspired by fall colors. As a self-taught watercolor artist, I work within the “Anna Mason” system, which focuses on building depth and realism through gentle layering and attention to fine detail. I especially enjoy creating still life pieces that highlight the quiet beauty of everyday subjects — from fruits and vegetables to flowering plants and the occasional decorative pot. Each painting becomes a study in color, light, and the natural elegance found in simple things.
