Time is moving fast, spring is sprung and our next newsletter will be after Easter! The grass is now visible, a little yellow looking, but that will soon change. This time of year is my definite favorite! So much promise and it’s ours for the taking!
We have relaxed our mask mandate in line with the CDC. It is now up to you to judge your own level of risk acceptance. We are watching the CDC and the levels of transmission and will act if needed.
Jacob Beneke Scholarship and District 279 Student Art Show 2022
We hosted the joint event on the 23rd of March, at the Maple Grove Government Center.
We had several amazing applicants for the scholarship and the judges had a tough time! However, we did pick one student to be our 2022 winner. You can see the winner, Norah Trost, and the other applicants work on our website.
We also gave several prizes to the students entering the District 279 Student Show, and you can see more of those images on our Facebook page!

Again, these are selling fast! Grab a seat at the table and have some fun!

Meet the Volunteers at Maple Grove Arts Center
This is a new section, where we will introducing our volunteers to you, one per month.
Chuck Skajewski
Vice President
Chuck, our Vice President since 2008, is a man of remarkable talents and passions. He holds the belief that we should all pursue our gifts, not only for ourselves, but to enhance others’ lives.
On a business level, Chuck owns his own business, CES Printing Solutions, and he is your go-to man for all things print! His skill here has benefitted the Maple Grove Arts Center enormously! Personally, his artistic talents drive him in two main directions: relief wood carving and music. If you've ever been lucky enough to see Chuck's woodwork finished and displayed at the Center, you are very lucky. He has also played acoustic guitar and sung for over 50 years, both at the Center and many local venues in and around Maple Grove. He has even performed at the State Fair on many occasions, and maybe again this year!
Chuck is driven by his faith, and is always a "Good Neighbor", as proven by an award from WCCO Radio.
We are so lucky to have Chuck on our board to help drive and promote the arts in Maple Grove!
Want to Get More Involved?
We are always looking for more volunteers and have a page here that details specific opportunities we have available.
