The Jacob Beneke 2026 Student Scholarship Award Winner
Selecting a winner was no small feat for the judges this year. With eight outstanding applicants representing District 279 schools, each brought a unique voice, impressive skill, and a clear passion for their work. The level of creativity and dedication on display made the decision incredibly challenging, as every student demonstrated qualities worthy of recognition. In the end, choosing just one recipient required thoughtful deliberation and careful consideration, a true testament to the exceptional talent within our local schools.
This year’s award carries an especially meaningful impact. The winner receives a $650 prize, generously augmented to $1,000 thanks to an anonymous donor, making this recognition even more significant. In addition, each applicant is awarded an advocacy membership to the Maple Grove Arts Center, ensuring that all participating students continue to be supported, celebrated, and connected within our vibrant arts community.
