Collage on foam core 14” x 21”

This collage has been living in my imagination for years, and this exhibition call finally brought it to life. The background features one of my original published stories—if you’re curious, please ask! The piece began with a black-and-white headshot of Elizabeth Taylor, though I couldn’t resist giving her striking blue eyes. From there, I built up layers of playful cutouts sourced from magazines and found imagery. Tucked within the composition are two real leaves from Elm Creek Park Reserve, carefully cleaned and pressed, adding a touch of the natural world to the narrative.
