Year End 2025 Fundraiser

Help Maple Grove Arts Center keep our mission growing in 2026!

2025 - The Year of Resilience

2025 has been a year of resilience, transition, and quiet triumph for Maple Grove Arts Center. Like any meaningful creative journey, it’s been marked by exhilarating highs, difficult goodbyes, and moments that tested our resolve—but through it all, our commitment to serving this community through the arts has never wavered.

This year brought exciting progress toward a long-held dream: a future home within the new Maple Grove Community Center. While that space is still a few years away from completion, the vision is becoming real—and we look forward to sharing more details early next year.

At the same time, 2025 also delivered an unexpected and emotional challenge. After seven wonderful years at The Fountains, our lease came to an end when the space was rented to a commercial tenant. In those seven years, our gallery became a creative home to thousands—hosting more than 50 curated exhibitions, hundreds of classes, and countless conversations sparked by art. Even knowing this day might come, the reality was hard to face.

With little notice and time not on our side, June became a whirlwind of packing, problem-solving, and hoping for a miracle.

Then, just one week before our final move-out date, the City of Maple Grove called with an opportunity: a potential temporary space in Grove Square. What followed was nothing short of extraordinary. In just seven days, contracts were negotiated, insurance secured, and a full move re-coordinated—allowing us to transition seamlessly from one space to another without closing our doors.

The work didn’t stop there.

Over the next three weeks, staff and volunteers transformed the new space from the ground up—repairing walls, painting, replacing flooring, sourcing second-hand furniture, and creating a welcoming, functional gallery and classroom environment. Thanks to their dedication, our new home is not only practical, but warm, creative, and inviting.

All of this happened while we continued to serve our community, including:

  • Outreach at Maple Grove events such as Trunk or Treat, Santa at the Shoppes, and monthly Farmers Market events

  • Expanding opportunities for local artists through the Arbor Lakes Art Fair

  • Hosting six curated gallery exhibitions this year—three at The Fountains and three at Grove Square—complete with receptions and artist awards

  • Continuing the Jacob Beneke Scholarship, awarded annually to an arts-aspiring Grade 12 student in the Osseo School District

  • Offering a wide range of adult and youth art classes

  • Growing our Business of Art programming in partnership with local Maple Grove businesses

We are deeply grateful to our new landlord for helping keep the dream alive during this transitional period—and even more grateful to the supporters who believe in the power of art to connect, heal, and inspire.
