This bowl is inspired by the art of traditional basket weaving, while incorporating modern materials and methods. Blocks of light and dark color represent day and night. The top edge represents hours on a clock. A loop adorning the top edge of the bowl interrupts the repeating pattern as a reminder that our time is not infinite, and it’s “About Time” we get to those projects or adventures we’ve been putting off. I learned how to make yarn bowls in 2012, but only now, nearly 15 years later, found the time to create the bowls I’d imagined for so long.
