I was so inspired by the recent Frankenstein movie, by Guillermo del Toro, that I had to paint a scene from the film.

Mia Goth played the love interest in the film and wore costumes inspired by her passion of collecting crystals, rocks and bugs. A very Victorian past time. I was fascinated by the concept of women being as beautiful as the collected butterflies and imprisoned in their whale bone crinolines, rather like a cage.
