I first cut and sand a reclaimed piece of wood into an angular shape. Multiple layers of paint are applied and sanded down to reveal previous layers. Marker is added to highlight areas and add texture. The result is an abstracted comic book look, where each facet of the sculpture acts like a panel creating a “page” of comic.
