”Foggy Solitude” by Deanna Kelly

The overall feeling of the foggy atmosphere creates a moody, aerie & haunting scene.

The witch is being portrayed in her solitude as she plans the next spell?

The willow branches in the foreground add lots of depth

There is a word: CHIAROSCURO ... that means ... "Dramatic Lighting"

This painting certainly captures this unique lighting as well as

her seductive and aerie look with very controlled brush strokes

This painting captures the beauty of Autumn colors.

The Harvest Moon behind the Great Horned Owl gives the whole left side

of the owl a beautiful illuminating glow. The simple short brush strokes make the owl

come to life!
