I stared at this piece and each time I see it, it shows me something different. The medium used reminds me a bit of a monet. I love the bright spots in the universe's sea of dark gasses.

Leaf Skeleton by Tracy Walsh
Nature can be extremely beautiful in its complex simplicity and this piece highlights the incredible complexity of a leaf with its simple gold and copper colors. The choice of a deep black background makes this piece appear three dimensional.

Wild Whispers by Emilie Taylor
I loved the juxtaposition of the hard wood and bark with the soft watercolors. The artist represented the northern lights very well.
