Sewing is humbling. The initial challenges involve threading the needle without pricking yourself, choosing the correct thread length (not too short or too long), avoiding tangles, and keeping the stitches small, straight, and uniform. It may be sloppy, but it is still creative. For each project, I photographed an art piece and printed the image onto the cloth using special iron-on adhesive.

The images originated from a 3-D project made of wood. I titled it “Wooden Menagerie.” I chose a dramatic color scheme with yellow and purple, and red with green.
